Acceptance
By downloading or using CamA, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Permitted use
You may use CamA for lawful personal, professional or organisational field-recording purposes. You must not use it to infringe privacy rights, breach confidentiality, misrepresent information, or break any applicable law, contract or workplace rule.
Your responsibility for captured evidence
You are responsible for what you capture, record, enter, export and share through CamA. Obtain any permissions, notices or consents required for recording people, locations or audio. Keep sensitive material secure and share it only with authorised recipients.
Accuracy limitations
GPS, time, location and related device information can be inaccurate, unavailable or affected by device settings, connectivity, signal conditions and other factors. CamA does not guarantee that a timestamp, location stamp or other record is complete, accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. CamA does not provide legal certification or evidential authenticity, and no timestamp should be treated as conclusive legal proof.
Patrols and emergencies
Patrol schedules, reminders and destinations are assistive tools only. They do not replace your employer’s procedures, training, risk assessment, supervision or emergency arrangements. CamA is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service directly.
Timesheets and pay
Timesheets, worked/planned hours and estimated pay are informational tools. You must verify them against your own records, employment terms and payroll process before relying on them for payment, compliance or reporting.
Local data and iCloud Recovery
You are responsible for your device, access controls, backups and the local information stored in CamA. Optional iCloud Recovery is subject to Apple’s services, your Apple ID and available iCloud storage. Recovery may not cover every item or every data change. Photos, videos and PDF files are not uploaded by CamA Recovery.
Media responsibility
You retain responsibility for media created, imported, saved or shared using CamA. Do not create or distribute unlawful, harmful, defamatory, infringing or otherwise prohibited content.
Early Access and future features
CamA V1.0 is offered in Early Access. Features may change, be refined or be removed as the product develops. Some features may require a paid subscription in a future release; no subscription purchase is required in the current Early Access release unless clearly stated in the app at that time.
Intellectual property
CamA, its branding, software and related materials are owned by or licensed to its operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-transferable right to use CamA, not ownership of the app or its underlying technology.
Availability
We aim to keep CamA available and functioning, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or secure availability. Device compatibility, iOS updates, Apple services and third-party systems can affect use of the app.
Liability
To the extent permitted by UK law, CamA is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, or loss arising from reliance on a CamA record where the law permits this limitation. Nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as CamA develops. The effective date above will show when they were last updated. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
